StorHub Self Storage has continued our ESG journey in promoting a robust ESG culture throughout the company. The team has scrupulously drafted and reached a consensus on the overall ESG policy, while making a consistent and concerted effort in working towards achieving both short-term and long-term goals. StorHub has been working tirelessly, utilising multi-disciplined international teams, to determine our ESG goals and objectives, develop action plans, and provide feedback and recommendations in meeting or exceeding these goals. Additionally, our environmental initiatives ensure that StorHub acts more sustainable and energy efficient, in line with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030, an initiative by the Singapore government to advance the Republic’s national agenda on sustainable development.

StorHub is committed to providing sustainable, high-quality self storage solutions that add value to our customers, investors, partners and communities. To fulfil this, we will continue our focus on:

  • Promoting a strong ESG culture, through education and awareness.

  • Adopting a systematic approach to ESG by establishing meaningful and measurable sustainability goals and objectives relating to environmental, social and governance principles across our Group’s operations.

Our efforts are currently focused on Singapore, and we have also started to roll out some of the ESG initiatives to the wider group in Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan Malaysia, and Australia.

  • Volunteer hours and number of participants have increased from 14 hours and 14 participants in 2021 to 123 hours and 21 participants in 2022.

3. Governance

a) Corporate Governance

• StorHub is committed to fostering ethical behaviour through sharing and educating employees on the company’s Code of Conduct through our policies which are the Code of Ethics Policy, Whistleblower Policy and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy.

• 100% of employees are educated on the group and regional office policies and are required to agree to our Code of Conduct policies on an annual basis. With the help of our in-house Legal Counsel, plans are underway for training to be provided to our employees to help everyone gain a better understanding of the newly reviewed and updated policies.

• With effect from 1st Quarter 2023, annual data protection training (Personal Data Protection Act training) will be conducted starting for Singapore based employees and this will be rolled out progressively for other regions in the later part of the year.

b) Risk Management

• A yearly training on Foreign Corruption Practice Act (FCPA) is organised for all employees which was completed in May/June 2022 across StorHub Group which includes Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Japan, and China.

StorHub Group invests in and develops properties in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Thailand. They convert them into dynamic self storage infrastructure and are successfully tapping into the burgeoning potential of these strong regional markets.

Their stores now span over 4 million sq. ft. of GFA with more than 47,000 units in these regions.

With footprints in these countries, StorHub Group has recognised the need to adopt sustainable asset management alongside value creation. Along with partners and the communities in which they live and work, they are constantly developing new and creative capabilities to adapt to their radically transforming world.

Various relevant departments have been working tirelessly with each other on the key ESG goals that need to be achieved.
