Ly Nguyen
Ly managed our facility since our launch in 2018. As the first self-storage company to launch in Vietnam, Ly first got self-educated by the KingKho management team and then introduced the concept of self-storage to literally thousands of customers in Vietnam.
Ly single-handedly managed more than 1,000 move-ins in those 5 years, advising and guiding customers from their initial move-in to their move-out. She started with 0% occupancy and now reached 88% stabilization. In the meantime, she got +35 5-star reviews on Google, Facebook and Trustpilot.
Ly found a local charity project called CLEEN. KingKho supported CLEEN by offering free storage units so that they could store 300kg of reusable garbage that was collected during the Vitamin R summer campaign!
A lot of customers know us via their friends therefore Ly takes care of our customers well. Ly offers a lot of promotions if our tenants recommend their friends to use the storage service.
Ly would sometimes treat tenants with a coffee or gift voucher during their move-in or move-out. This small token of appreciation often is valued highly by our customers.
Sometimes Ly put in a lot of extra work to fulfill one “concierge service request” of specific customers. E.g. arranging a parcel to be picked up, add an address label, sending it to another location, etc. She often gets a lot of praise and good reviews on social media channels.

KingKho, Vietnam’s first self-storage company to open for business in 2018, was founded by Lorenz (German), Vinh (Vietnamese), Ben (Canadian), and Manuel (Austrian). Its first facility is located in the West of Hanoi, with 2,500m2 of available storage space. Since its launch, +800m2 customers from +10 countries have moved-in. What the team is proud of is the fact that +90% of its customers are locals, less than 10% are from other countries. This proves the concept of mini storage is accepted in Vietnam, and as the pioneer in that space, KingKho is looking forward to what’s to come.

“More Space - More You!“ Campaign
Self-storage in Vietnam is in its embryonic stage. 99,9% of KingKho’s target customers do not know what self-storage is, or that the business category even exists. One common remark they hear when first-time customers walk into the facility is “wow, I had no idea that something like this exists”.
In order to solve this, KingKho’s team knew that written words and nice images would not cut it. They knew videos would be the answer! So their team wrote two scripts for two separate videos:
#1 The Customer Journey: A life-stylish video, showing an A-Z journey of a potential customer visiting the facility in Hanoi, liking what she sees, signing up, putting her items into the “hotel” of things, and leaving happily.
#2 The Customer Testimonials: Many of their customers believe mini storage is only used by large corporates. To explain that this is not the case, they found “4x customers” to become their official testimonials. They filmed the customers in their facility, right in front of their respective units.
